About Centerville Fire/Rescue:
The Centerville Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1840. The name was changed in 1996 to Centerville Fire/Rescue. We were the first Wayne County Department to offer First Responder medical service to our community. We have a Class 6 ISO rating in areas with hydrants and a Class 8 ISO rating in the remaining areas. We currently have ATR (Automatic Tanker Response) agreements with Abington, Cambridge City, Greens Fork, Williamsburg, and Webster Fire Departments. Mutual Aid agreements are in place with the same departments as well as the Richmond Fire Department. Currently we are a member of the IVFA (Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association) and the Wayne County Firefighters Association. We are a proud department and are continually striving to serve our community to the best of our ability. We are located near the Indiana/Ohio border along Interstate 70. CF/R consists of 25 active members, 2 reserve members and 18 auxiliary members. Population of Center Township is approximately 7,900. Our response area covers 44 square miles, with mostly residential and light commercial structures. We run both Fire and EMS calls out of one fire station. In 2001 we responded to 374 incidents, 2002 we responded to 404 incidents, 2003 we responded to 392 incidents, 2004 we responded to 409 incidents, and in 2005 we responded to 410 incidents.

About Mooresville Fire Department:
The Mooresville Fire Department protects 10,000 people living in an area of 5.21 square miles in Town of Mooresville, Indiana. Mooresville is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Indianapolis along State Road 67. We operate out of 1 station that protects a community of residential, commercial and light industrial properties. Over the past 10 years the town has nearly double in size and this growth is continuing. This growth presents many challenges to our department, however we still continue to provide excellent service with an average response time of just less than 4 minutes. Our department consists of a combination of paid and paid part time firefighters staffing 3 pumpers, 1 quint, 1 rescue, 1 fire safety house and 4 support/command vehicles.

Department Type: Combination Paid/Volunteer
